Some pics from the Royal Enfield Independence Day ride to Gateway of India.
I was the pillion rider this time, but who cares when there are around 300 bullets roaring at the same time!

CHUTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!

And the holidays are back again...!! After a long stressful month, it's finally time to sit back and relax... And hey!! It's finally time to move to a new house! Packing all your stuff is such a pain in the ass! But given the fact that I am finally going to get my own room, I'm not complaining at all! Though I'm excited a lot, I know I'm sure gonna miss Matunga a lot...spent 21 years (thats all my life up till now) of my life here!! Will miss all my friends...Rima, Raj, Sumit, Samrat, Aditya, Priyanka and not to forget my school friends! But mostly I'm gonna miss hanging out with my best buddy Ivan...he's the bestest friend any one can ever have! I remember how bummed up he was when I told him I was going to shift to Borivli. He was like telling his mom that they shift to Borivli too. But sadly that can't happen! Will miss going to the gym with you, watching birds at the gym, rating them on a scale of 1-10, going to the Movies.. I wouldn't have asked out 2 girls in 1 day if it weren't for an asshole friend like you!! But such is life's dearies...!!
Results are going to come out soon...mostly before those idiotic MU exams get over! :D Exams weren't great at all, pathetic as all the one's before. But this time I hope Ashmita doesn't score more than me!! :P
Anyhoo gotcha go now...will write soon...from my new house! : )
Goodbye Matunga......

And the holidays are over...

Finally my 2 month holidays are over. Damn! There's so much I wanted to do! like go to Goa with my friends, do an internship, learn about the share market and most importantly study for GRE!!! ( Bah! As if I was gonna study!! :P ) But I suppose this vacation was the most unpredictable one for me! Did some really good things but some stupid things too!
On the first day of the holidays, I went on a road trip to Kashid with my college friends.(Read my previous post!)
Then I went on a 12 day trip to my village Valaval which I was so badly trying to avoid, well, because I thought it would be pretty boring there but I was proved wrong! Infact I enjoyed so much I think I'll go there again sometime! Firstly, there's no network coverage! So you are free of that bloody cell fone! Trust me, you are at peace! Then there was my cousin's wedding. Most of the time went in it's preparations. Got to travel to Malvan four times! If you are a non-vegetarian, you are so gonna love malvani food!!

Then I visited the beaches. I swear the beaches were so clean and well maintained, you wouldn't believe how much natural beauty is there in Maharshtra. I got a video of one particular beach viz. Sagareshwar beach.

At the last day there was a bhajan session at our house. I never listen to marathi songs, but when you listen to a live bhajan performance, the ambience it creates transforms your mood and soon you start enjoying it!
You must have heard about the mimosa plant in school, it closes it's leaves as soon as you touch it. Well, I got to see pretty much of them at my village. Here's a video of it!

I reached Mumbai on 31st night just 2 hours before New year eve. Celebrated the new year with my bestfriend Ivan, drinking and talking all night. That was pretty much it.

On 3rd Jan  I joined an NGO, Akanksha Institute, which works basically towards educating underpriveleged children in India. I was assigned to work at Abhudaynagar Akansha School. My friend Adil had suggested about doing social work. At first, I was skeptic about the whole idea. But eventually after getting to know the kids and the teachers there, I blended in the school's atmosphere easily. Even though some of my friends ridiculed me for doing it, my true friends and even parents encouraged me to do it. Teaching english to 1st std. kids was fun. But reading out stories to them, listening them chatter and most surprisingly hearing them sing..."Machali jal ki rani hai, sheela ki jawani hai..." was super fun. Within 2 days I knew each kid by name and became good friends with them. Even though my initial motive was just getting a social work certificate, my whole thinking changed when I actually started enjoying teaching the kids.

During the lunch time.

I feel all of you should do some kind of social work in life, because the joy of giving fills your heart and soul with so much peace and contentment, you start to believe you can change the world even by doing whatever little you can! Sadly my college begins tomorrow, so I could work there for only 3 weeks. But I have promised some of the kids I would come back again during my next vacation. I think I'll keep that promise. : )

Well that was most of what I did in my vacation. Ah yes, how can I forget those delicious muffins and choco lava cakes that Chinky (Ashmita) made!! Damn they were so yummy! I think I'll try to make them myself someday!!!

See for yourself what amazing stuff that woman can make!! Just follow the link... Chinky's blog!

That's all for now...I'll see ya when I see ya. Bbye. :)

Happy Birthday Jaqueline!

You might wonder who is Jaqueline? Well, that's what I call my bike. Been a year today since I got her, the Yamaha FZ 16. She is my black beauty!
Had some memorable moments with her and pretty good falls too. Especially the time I almost crashed into a cow. Yeah, my friends still have a pretty good laugh about it.

Me with my bike outside college.

The longest journey I had with her was to Kashid, which is just about 150 kms from Mumbai. Had great fun with Ronak, Kaustubh and Jasmeet there. The best part was riding at night in pitch black darkness with the cold wind brushing past your face and watching the stars shining in the sky. Joys of riding. Pure awesomeness!
Riding on the white sand beaches of Kashid.

With Jasmeet and Kaustubh.

Me with Ronak.

Ronak posing with my bike.
The first person to learn a bike from me. :D
With Jasmeet's Royal Enfield bike which in his own words
and I quote " It is made like a gun and goes like a BULLET!" :D

This year onwards I think I'll start experimenting with her, get her a K&N filter and try a wheelie maybe! :D
Stats:
Distance covered : 4231 kms.
Top Speed : 110 kmph.
Average : 35 kmpl.

Journey to the SUN!

Took this picture on the western-express highway yesterday. The sun was just setting but, somehow it looked a bit bigger to me than always. You cannot see how beautiful the sky looked through this picture. This sight amazed me a lot and i had to stop and take a picture no matter what. Seems like all the cars are going towards the sun.
one of the joys of riding.... : )

Bird watching while riding = Danger!!

WADUP?
Ok whats up with all the pretty n sexy gals roaming around on the streets huh?!?! Do they not understand the threat they pose to people like me riding their bikes peacefully? Seriously! Girls should be banned from walking on the streets or they should be made to wear a 'burkha' or something! ok i know this sounds ridiculous n all the guys are gonna curse me for saying that but listen to my story..
Here I am riding back home from college one day n what do i see?? A damn cute gal walking on the footpath!! Given my 'single ready to mingle' status, lots of question pop up in my mind.. What is she doing alone? Why is she alone? Is she sad? seems like her bf just dumped her! I should go n offer her a ride home maybe! (ok dis is exactly what goes on in my mind! :P) I adjust the side-mirror of my bike to get a proper look at her n damn! thats when i loose concentration!! i steer away just in time to avoid collision with a water tanker! once i was gonna knock off a guy crossing the road! such incidents happen all the time with me!
But one day i know i'm gonna have a pretty good fall cuz of a pretty good gal! so i'm waiting for that girl.. not just any girl.. someone who is worth falling for!! :D
